Before you compare bids in {city}

  1. Does the bid price wall area only, or does it also include trim, soffit and fascia?
  2. Is removal and disposal of the old siding a separate line item or bundled into the per-foot price?
  3. Which exact product line and thickness is quoted, not just the material name?
  4. Is house wrap included, and is it a standard wrap or a drainable one?
  5. Does the number assume one story, or did the bidder walk the whole house?
  6. What's excluded: a permit fee, sheathing repair, paint, or anything else billed only if it's found?
